A TRUE STORY - LOST IN TIME

By Tessa Harvey

In her dream Lucy saw herself standing by an open front door, looking at a glass cabinet. Inside were grandma's treasures and grandad's medals from the Somme and other terrible war places.
In the end, he had never told her of his war, but she saw in her dream, he had called on God's help in hopeless situations. God had answered: I will be with you in troubles.
All the treasures, medals and bracelets had gone, lost to rivalry between her sister aunts. A different war. A home war.
Then she saw herself with her own children.....The family had suffered tragedy which had nearly destroyed the survivors. Her brothers, Johnny and Ben and their spouses and children had died in a terrorist attack, lunching as a birthday treat in a crowded London cafe.
The shadows in the dream were real, then words she somehow knew were Biblical shone bright and clear to her sleeping spirit.
"Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. Form behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people. But the Lord will arise over you, And his glory will be seen upon you."
Lucy woke. She felt well. The clear dawn light was breaking over a small beautiful lake. She felt wrapped and held in Great Love - a Holy Presence. The living dream faded.
She was back in a country that had lost its way. The land of her birth was gone, ruled by a godless, hostile presence, inimicable to decency, music, beauty, Christianity. Her son, Andrew was rising to power on a tide of corruption.
He had threatened his parents multiple times, condemning them as deluded, belonging to a cult.
But her daughter and husband were free and suddenly she knew she was well enough to join them.
Quickly she called Golda, her daughter. No more lies, only truth.
"I have been ill, but God has healed me! You and Isaac begged me to join you. Do you still have room?"
How overjoyed they were - and the children.
In a few days, she was on her way to her husband Solomon's dream home, Israel. Lucy finally knew that those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ would be together for eternity. Her new life on earth was but a prelude to an everlasting joyous symphony.
